McKayla Maroney

Let me know who made the judge gif so I can credit them.

Re-watching some of the Olympics and I gotta say this is by far one of my favorite moment. I am still in awe every time I watch McKayla’s amanar vault. If you guys can find the BBC feed, watch it instead of the NBC one. In the NBC one the commentators are talking the entire time, whereas in the BBC one, it’s just silent. You can seriously hear a pin drop as the entire crowd holds their breath as she’s in the air. It just adds to the intensity!

If anyone has the video of NBC comparing McKayla and Kohei Uchimura’s vault (where she’s literally 2 feet higher than he is), let me know because I would LOVE to make a gif of that!

McKayla Maroney is Not Impressed
“I think it’s really funny. At first, I was really confused and I couldn’t believe that just from making that face for two seconds it could turn into that, but I guess in my head I was just disappointed that I fell on my butt at the Olympics. And when the National Anthem was playing, and it wasn’t my country, I was just thinking in my head, like just dang it, and that’s what my face did.”
